Head Coach
Neil Breen

Coach Breen has a wealth of playing and coaching experience. Neil began his Junior Hockey playing career with the Nanaimo Clippers of the BCHL as a 16-year-old, he then moved on to the Omaha Lancers of the USHL where he captained the team and lead them to a Clark Cup Championship. Neil's play for the Lancer's earned him a scholarship to Quinnipiac University where he was again named Captain, lead his team into the NCAA playoffs, scored over 100 points and was inducted into the Quinnipiac University Hall of Fame. Upon graduation from QU Neil played a year of Professional Hockey in the Central Hockey League before entering the teaching profession for four years. Coach Breen's love of the game drew him back in and he left teaching to become a fulltime Hockey Coach in the Eastern Hockey League with the Hartford Junior Wolfpack. From there Neil moved to the NAHL with the Springfield Junior Blues, and on to the Tri-City Storm of the USHL. Most recently Neil was a Head Coach in the Canadian Sports School Hockey League.

Neil's success as a player was based on a skilled, hardnosed work ethic, a style he has been able to instill in the players he has coached, many of whom have moved on to the D-I, D-III, and Professional Levels including the NHL. Neil's successful coaching style is based on developing a combination of skill and work ethic, in each and every player in order to help them move to the next level. Coach Breen attributes much of his success as a coach not only his hockey background but also to what he learned as an educator. Neil's impeccable references include a number of very notable D-I Head Coaches, Canadian Hockey League General Managers and Head Coaches, as well US Junior League Coaches, his extensive hockey community connections will be of great help to the Stampede players and organization.

Neil, his wife Heather, and baby girl Jesse James, due in February, are very excited to bring "Breener Hockey" to the Stampede and the City of Cheyenne.

Voice of the Stampede – Arena Announcer

Chris Rosentreter

My name is Chris Rosentreter. I was born in Rawlins Wyoming, but after a year my family moved to Missouri. It was there that I got my love for hockey and being on the ice. I remember every winter we would go to our friends place and skate on his pond. I later moved back to Wyoming first Rawlins and then Cheyenne.

I have been involved in a number of sports to include swimming were I was a third place state finisher, wrestling, and football. I also was a NHSRA member and rode bareback horses and bulls during high school. More recently I have joined the Cheyenne Capidolls roller derby team as a referee. Also I have a love and passion for race cars and I have been a driver for five years here in Cheyenne at Big Country Speedway. You are probably wondering about my hockey experience other than skating on a pond in an old pair of skates, I have been playing B league hockey here in Cheyenne for three years now as a forward and a part time goalie.

I am currently an active duty Army National Guardsman and enjoy that as my full time job. I am a huge believer in volunteers and getting involved. I spend my free time as a volunteer firefighter at Laramie County Fire District 2. I am also a member of the Cheyenne Gunslingers Association and promote firearm safety for kids and adults alike. I enjoy being a part of the Centennial Antique Tractor and Engine Club as well and I love my Farmall tractor. I am also a member of the Cheyenne Knights of Pythias and do a number of things to help the community.

Now what can I offer as The Voice of The Stampede, well with my experience as the track announcer at Big Country Speedway I will help bring the fans into the action and with a little bit of comedy keep the fans entertained. I am extremely excited to be a part of this organization and look forward to the times to come. CAN YOU HEAR THE RUMBLE!!
